Rates and what they cover
Namdazivo prices Band recording at €130 per hour, €850 for an eight-hour day rate, and €180 as a base per song. Amounts include 21% VAT; business clients may use 14-day payment terms — see terms and conditions.
Hourly fits short overdubs or a single live track. The day rate pays off when several songs stay set up back-to-back. Per-song pricing is a starting point; complexity and extra overdubs are quoted via contact beforehand.
Live room, isolation and setup time
The room fits drums on a riser, guitar with cab or gobo, direct bass and live guide vocals where needed. Separate spaces for amps and overdubs in the control room suit Amsterdam bands that do not rent expensive rooms every week.
Expect setup at the start: mic placement, headphone mixes and a line check. Bands that share setlist and tempos early reach «recording ready» faster. Send a rough demo or rehearsal clip; we estimate realistic hours per song.
Scenario: three songs in one day
Suppose you want three songs live plus a few overdubs. The day rate €850 gives eight hours within Monday to Friday 10:00–22:00, Saturday 11:00–18:00, closed on Sunday.. Split roughly: one hour setup, five tracking, two for overdubs and buffer.
If one song fights you, move an overdub to a short return day (€130) instead of forcing takes. Mix and master are separate: mixing from €275 per track with 2 revision rounds included, mastering from €95.
Scenario: hourly single
A mostly live single often fits three to four hours with a tight arrangement. Extra time bills at €130. Vocal overdubs can happen later in the vocal booth via Vocal recording (€95 per hour) without bringing the full band back.
Parking is limited; From Amsterdam Westerpark station it is about a five-minute walk via Van Hallstraat. Tram 13 stops at De Wittenstraat, roughly four minutes on foot from there. On-street parking is limited; bike racks are right outside the entrance. Many crews use bikes or transit. Tell us headcount so we prep enough 8 headphones and cue mixes.
Booking, deposit and rescheduling
We confirm bookings after a 30% deposit. Free cancel or move up to 7 days before the session; after that, terms and conditions apply. We usually reply within 2 business days via contact or [email protected].
Clarify who signs the invoice (band, manager or label). Participants from 16 need parental consent on file.
What the studio rate excludes
Outside musicians, extra producers, video shoots, heavy editing between days and release marketing sit outside Band recording. We keep raw takes for 12 months per privacy policy — not a substitute for your backups.

Prep that saves money
- Share tempos and demos before the session.
- Fresh drum heads; bring sticks and spare snares.
- Intonate guitars/bass; change strings before arrival.
- Lock lyrics and arrangement — changes burn takes.
- Schedule breaks; tired takes cost double hours.
Vocal prep: prepare your voice. Guest musicians and speech rights overlap with podcast consent and rights.
